In this Course Formation evaluation measurements including gamma ray, porosity, resistivity, density, and other measurements made while drilling and their use will be discussed. This course covers in details the various MWD and LWD tool physics and applications. This is an opportunity for technical personnel in all domains irrespective of their experience to have a full and wide exposure to the various new technologies of MWD and LWD . The Training will include the working principles of all the tools, and explain in detail how different tool’s sensor will respong differently in various formations. It will also cover the basic Log interpretation used in Formation Evaluation

This course  along with introduction to LWD. Also will give in detail information of Various LWD tools used in Oil & gas industry. like Gamma ray tools , Resistivity tools , R/a source used tools for porosity & density evaluation.

  • This course will inform about Working principles of LWD tools and the basic interpretation of the response of these tools .
  • It will also give detail information about the sensors  & detectors used in the tools .
  • This includes both the interpretation of ‘Real time’ MWD/LWD data from the rig, and its use in making operational decisions, and  later use of this data for quantitative reservoir characterisation.
